Students Thoughts on Technology

This is the first podcast that I have ever done, so it was a definite learn as you go scenario.  For this podcast, I conducted a survey with 22 students asking them to compare their technology usage at home versus their technology usage while as school.  While the results were interesting, they were a bit predictable and fell into line with the scenario described by Alan November in his article 'Banning Student "Containers".  The survey revealed that the students spend more time using technology tools at home than they do at school.

Looks like my frustrations are finally over.  I was not able to convert my podcast to an MP3 file at school since Audacity, like many other useful programs, was blocked by my school's filter.  So, I decided to head to my sister's and try her computer since she had XP on it.  Luckily, that worked just fine.  Moral of this story, I've discovered yet another thing that a Vista 64 bit system cannot do.  I'm definitely looking forward to the day when it's time to replace this computer and I can get something that doesn't have Vista on it.
